Help me figure out what to do..

I bought one the first 6.7's manufactured and I only have 28k on my truck now. In the last 2 years I have had the truck in to the dealer for emission problems 11 times. Some times it's minor like a mobile desoot and a flash, sometimes it's a turbo, egr replacement, etc.

My local dealer is going to be part of the Chrysler dealer flush as of June 1st. I will now have to drive 4 hours to Portland for a warranty issue. This means scheduling an appointment and renting a motel for a night every time I have to take it in for a mobile desoot or some stupid CEL issue.

I had planned on getting an extended warranty or selling the truck and buying something a couple years older with a 5.9 in it.

What would you do?

Well, one of my friends has an early 07.5 with the 6.7, he had a lot of problems at first, new turbo, flashes, cleanings.... we did a DPF delete, and he has not had any problems since. Stock, this thing would spin 37's with out trying with the delete.

Personally, I would keep the 6.7, and do the deletes to get rid of the problems. This will be a personal choice for you, since you will be seriously voiding the warranty. However, (dramatic pause) since the delete, he has not had one code, and the truck has ran great.

If you try to sell your truck, you are taking a loss.

Have you considered a lemon law?

Thanks for the comment madhat but here's my problem..

I can't break a Federal law and remove the emissions equipment. So the DPF delete is not an option for me personally.

From what I understand about the Oregon lemon law you have to act within the first year or 12k miles, so that's not an option.

lemon law doesn't apply for bankrupt companies. Anyone in process is SOL.
