Help Im Stumped
Brand new early 04 engine, Brand New not a reman, Ran great for 1000 miles, The other morning Started it and it died after a few minutes, Restarted but turned over hard like a hydrolock situation, Drove about 5 miles and came to a stop sign and it dies again, This time no restart, In fact it wont even turn over. So I try to turn with HB bolt, No turn, I put the Barring tool in and it turned loose but was not easy, I can turn it pretty much one revolution and it locks up, Turn it back the other way and it locks up in pretty much the same spot, other then that it turns easy.
One would think It dropped a valve seat but looking at the pistons with my Scope there is no marks on the pistons, All valves look level, All injectors look normal, No excess fuel in cyl.
So has anyone seen Maybe a CP3 malfunction to cause something like this? Maybe a broken Gear tooth?
Converter bolts are out and TC turns free so I ruled out the Trans.
If you have any ideas please let me know cause I am stumped, Not really thrilled about pulling the engine and tearing into it if its something that can be repaired in the truck.
