help with AN fittings
-06AN push lock/barb fitting will work in a 3/8 ID hose, correct?? thanks.

That sounds correct. -6 = 3/8 -8 =1/2

why do they have to make it difficult? why cant they just call it 3/8 if it's 3/8... that's the first time i've seen it explained like that. when i do my m1009 rebuild i was going to use an fittings, but wasnt sure which ones and what the sizes meant.

there is a couple of sites with a couple of good conversion tables-but i wanted to triple check before i ordered them.

the number for the an size is in 16ths. -8 is 8/16 = 1/2" -4 is 4/16ths= 1/4"

You just have to be cautious about which end of the fitting the number applies to. IE 1/2" hose X 3/8" flare. -6-8 or -8-6?

They work much better when the brand and type hose are the same as the fitting.
