Help decide on fender flares
Soon to be new diesel owner looking for advice on flares. 05 3500 4wd srw bright silver arriving after 1st of the year. Looking at warn thinline or bushwacker street flares. I cain't tell much difference in the 2 on the web sights I found. I also think I read someone put the mopar molded flaps on with flares, with a little trimming. So do you guys think this combo is going to look right? I want it to look factory looking.

I am also intrested in flares. Xeneon makes a set that looks pretty nice as well. I will want mine painted. So I don't know what the final bill will be. But I like the look of the Rams with the flares.

Here you go guys. Xenon Fender Flares, you will not find them cheaper, Under $280! I bought mine through them with no problems at all.

The look of the street flares on rossn2's truck is exactly what im looking for, but I'm worried that the are going to rub the paint off because they don't use the to sided tape. I've tried to find the warn thinline flares but have not seen them offered for 3rd gen body styles. the xenon are just to big for my tast. I also thought about egr's but they also look like they are going to be as big. Anyone with pictures of egr's or know for sure if the street flares are going to rub the paint off?

These are Xenon standard SRW fender flares. The reason I went with the Xenon's is because that are more flexible and have 3M tape that hold the top of the flare to the fender. It does take at least 2 people, some time, a little shimming and alot of patience. While attaching the
inside of the fender flare that is suppose to attach to the inside top of
the wheel well, we had to add about 1/2" plastic shim, then installed the
bolt through the fender flare, through the shim and then through the fender
and attached the nut. Make sure you follow the instruction exactly for
painting! This is very important. Another thing the warmer the climate or environment you install them, the easier it will be. Make sure the fender flares are above 70 degrees!

Anyone know which flare are biggest between the egr's and the bw street flares? These are also going on a single rear wheel truck. I'm about to go with the egr's because of the backing tape, but I'm afraid they are going to look to bulky with factory size tires. I'll probably always keep them because of the E load raiting.

I'm wondering about getting a set from Dodge for the new Power wagons. They might be just right. I wonder how they attach?

I checked a couple of weeks ago about the flares on the Power Wagon. Looked at a couple on the lot and test drove one. They look just like Bushwacker Street Flares. They attach the same as the Bushwacker Street Flares. They do not have any 3m tape to hold the flare against the fender and will collect dirt/dust between the flare and fender and ruin paint on this line.
Besides that, there is not a part number listed in any of the 2005 accessory packages or catalogs according to the parts people. Being new they said all of the parts inventory are probably on vehicles. It could be 6 months plus before a part number is listed and then no telling how long before there is inventory to order.
