help....death wobble issues

well first the facts. My truck is a....
2003 3500 SRW 149k mi
it has what looks like a 2" lift. blocks out back and spacers up front.
it has 9way adjustable ranco shocks
it has 315/x/17 BFG A/Ts
I bought it just 1k miles ago
It did the death wobble to me a couple times.
so, the tie rod ends look shot and it had the old style steering on it, So I replaced all the linkage including the pitman arm, with the new style.
then had it aligned.
It still does the DW
now what?

Those tires are notorious for being involved in DW and the Rancho shocks... well I've heard a few times they are worse than what comes from the factory. I'm no expert... just what I've read. I think I've avoided DW because I'm partially lucky and I have dual FOX steering stabilizers. I think my time is running out because I need ball joints, pretty sure tie rods also. Sometimes I'll get this vibration in my steering wheel and it's starting to happen more often. What did the new style steering setup run ya, if I can ask?

$313 for everything minus the dampener. since I already have the ranco I didnt get the new one. (my 4x4 club, pioneer4wheelers.org gets a discount from a local dealer)

the damper you already have won't work unless you have the bracketry for the new bars. they are nearly twice the diameter as your old steering arms

Ive got the new mount bracket, the damper is tight.
its my understanding that a damper is not necessary on a correctly setup steering system. it only covers up the problem(s)

Every time I have had a issue with DW it was related to the Trac Bar.

I took my Pro Comps off for the winter and installed my BFGs on the stock wheels. My DW came back and was cured by putting the Pro Comps back on. It would do it at anything over 70 mph. I have only had problems with the BFGs because the tires I had before never did it and the ones now never have. Just food for thought. I too have the new steering, ball joints and track bar bushings at 150k

What was your particular fix? Replace bushings or entire bar?

Replaced the bar. On my Wrangler and my Truck. Bushings are a PITA if you don't have a press. I got mine from Napa for the truck. Simple to replace.

Before you get all crazy with it, try checking the Caster, it needs to be at the factory max.

I have trucks with BFG's and another with worn out linkage, neither has ever tried to DW.

I still believe it is due to the 3.7 degrees of Caster.

Mulesdiesel, I have a set of stock wheels and tires mounted and balanced we could throw on and maybe rule out your tires being the problem?
