Can anyone help me figure out why my batteries go down 2 to 4 volts in about 5 to 7 days. My truck is stock no mods except for a compressor for my air bags. It an 2006. Im not that good with electrical problems they suck. Any help Thanks

kind of hard to diagnose a draw on the over the internet i would try pul;ing the fuse for the airbags and see if that helps at all

Maybe the batteries are the problem - check and make sure the terminals are clean and have a good connection. If that checks out ok then get the batteries and charging system checked out to make sure all is good - most auto parts stores (Checker Auto, Auto Zone, etc) will test them for you for free.

A next step would be to hook up an amp meter and confirm that there really is something drawing current when everything is supposed to be off. It's not a hard test but if you're not comfortable doing the electrical work maybe find a friend with more experience in this area. Once the amp meter is installed you can remove fuses and circuit breakers, each in turn, and find which circuit is causing the problem (the current draw will stop when you pull the fuse on the problem circuit). But I wouldn't disturb everything before checking out the basics first - battery terminals, condition, and charging circuits. Let us know what you find out

You are better taking your truck to someone. Test meters are not cheap and I would hate to see you fry your ecm or something else expensive just trying to save a buck. Take your batteries out, have them charged and load tested. If it is more than that, take it in.
