Will Hellwig Sway Bar Fit my Truck?
Hi all. As my sig indicates, I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 QC LB with Firestone airbags and Torqlift frame-mounted tiedowns. My truck also has the 11.5 rear-end. I want to get a Hellwig rear sway bar (part #7658) but I'm concerned it will not fit with my setup. I have an email to Hellwig to see what they say but no response yet.
Anyone here have the same setup as mine with a Hellwig?

I have the Hellwig Sway Bar part #7658 on mine. It definitely tightens up the rear sway loaded or not. Easy install and worth it to me and I don't tow or carry heavy loads often. I did not have to bend the brake line. The brake line on mine is close the to bracket, almost touching, but I have checked a number of times and there is no rubbing. It would not be hard to loosen the brake line clamp and just move it a 1/4 inch if needed.

Smooth Ride
I had a Helwig sway bar nad Firestone air bags and they worked fine and had no issues. I didn't have to move the brake line. This setup does level out the load and the sway but it tends to ride stiff. After two years I coudn't take it any longer. I removed both and now have the Roadmaster active suspension and a 2" add-a-lift (leaf). The truck now rides much smoother now and I would recommend this setup over airbags and anti-sway bar.

I recently installed Pacbrake air bags and a Hellwig Sway Bar. They fit fine with no issues with each other. Both help do their respective jobs too! Money well spent.
I did have to slightly move (bend) my brake lines for the Hellwig install but it's not a biggie. You just don't want them caught in the clamps around the axle.
Additionally.....I have Lazarsmith Traction Bars and a Mag-Hytec rear diff cover too. None of the 4 aftermarket accessories effect the other or room for each other.
So order your Hellwig with confidence. Your Firestone bags won't effect the installation.

I noticed the Roadmaster anti sway bar sits very low in the pics compared to the Hellwig. It appears that when mounted, the is below the bottom shock mounts.

I have the Helwig sway bar and the Firestone Ride Rites on my 2006, excellent combination. Plenty of clearance for the MagHytek cover as well. No issues with brake line clearance on the right side, I didn't need to bend it out of the way.
I looked at the Roadmaster, it sat a little too low for my comfort zone. While it may be an excellent sway bar setup, I DO use my 4WD in off-road terrain, I wanted as much ground clearance as possible just in case.

I just got one for $134 plus shipping. The place has a lot more inventory to move since they just bought out a dealership that had an aftermarket dept.
