Heavy growling after ps box install
Yuuuuppp. Just changed old box with redhead box, started truck turned wheels back and forth 4-5 times and just growled the whole time and when using brakes, took it for a small drive and never went away
Any thoughts

No problem.....We all miss things when in a rush....When I replaced my PS gear boxes..I would fill them up...After starting it would growl...I shut it down and had to pour more into the pump...I think you just low on fuild.....
You will like the redhead box...I put one in my truck a few months back..
I see your in Estevan....I have to make a trip up there one of these days...Next year sometimes....The company I work for has a office out there...

I went through 3 Napa boxes...All blow in a year to year and a half..And my truck is mostly parked 5 days a week and never sees off road...
The Redhead box is way thighter but I really notice was the pitman shaft..There was slight side to side play on the Napa bax...None on the redhead..A company that takes pride in there work...You sure don't see that much now a days...

You have air in the system. The best way to bleed the air out is with the front wheels off the ground, without starting the truck, rack the steering back and forth about 20-30 times. This will bleed the air out. No groan.
