Heating up when towing

I just had a new plate put in my truck 97 cummings to increase the power and it did the job. Now when I am towing my RV 5th wheel (9500lbs) up hill the heat gauge wants to run all the way up to the limit on the gauge with out going into the red area. What should I do about this?

First thing I'd do is check that the coolers aren't plugged up with bugs.
I tow heavy and run it right up to the coolant redline all the time. Figure as long as that's as high as it goes I'm fine.
