heater motor
here's something i found out ...... if your heater motor resistor is burning out. replace your heater motor..... the bearings get dry and cause more heat in the resistor than it can handle.
i put 2 resistors in mine before i decided something was causing the failure
i removed the blower motor and it was real hard to turn..
funny thing ,it did not make any noise.........

I replaced my HVAC motor just over a year ago. A bunch of folks on here recommended I go with a Bosch from the dealer. The price difference between dealer and aftermarket stores was very small. I think I paid $170 and the aftermarket was $150.
There were no grease zerks on it or anything, I believe it has nylon bushings not bearings.
