Heater again?
Ok so i pulled the dash and replaced the heater core last weekend. So heat is better but still not what it use to be. I got the heater core from Oreillys it looked to be made of aluminum not copper like the stock one. Other than that i dont know why its not very hot, the only other thing i can think of is the water pump was changed about the time the heat quit working i dont know if the new water pump my not be circulating the coolant like the stocker did. I got the replacement pump from NAPA. Oh yeah blend doors and everything else looked good too. Does anyone heve a temp gauge in one of their vents that could tell me what temp their air get to ? Mine gets to about 110 degrees with outside air being about 55 degrees.

I'm not going to be much help here, but your not alone with heat problems.Mine is operating temp issues.... and heat problems.Tried 3 different OEM t-stats,carboarded the rad and even removed the fan...Same problem.Bought another t-stat today....Hope you get your problem resolved, because I'm running out of ideas......I also replaced the heater core and my truck got worse for heat...we even purged all the air out...
