Heated Seats not working?

Heated Seats not working?
Hi,
Just pulled my truck out of storage, and my drivers side seat heater isn't working. When I push the button, the Hi light blinks for about 30 seconds. Pushing Lo does nothing. And of course the seat doesn't warm up any.
Any thoughts? I'm sorry, I can't search, some sort of problem with my program....

Most of the time what I saw was replacing the heating pad, not cheap. Not sure about the blinking light though, been to long. Also not sure if you have a heating pad in the upright part of the seat. If so it could be one blinking light means lower, other blinking light means upper. But again, not for certain on that and I may be getting confused with cadillacs.

Ok, got the search working, a blinking hi is open, so that's what I've got. A break in the wire.
Can anybody give me any tips on how to take the seat apart to the point that I can examine the grid? What needs to come off? Does the seat need to come out of the truck? Any common failure points?
Thanks,
Michael

Ok, I fixed my seat today, and thought I'd share some of the details, so the next person who has this problem can see what I learned.
The lower cushion needs to come off the frame; it's held on by 4 10mm screws, see pic #1. Then, unplug the blue electrical plug from the seat frame, and the green electrical connector that plugs the lower seat into the seat back.
Unclip the leather cover from the lower cushion, and you will find a piece of white cloth lying over the seat cushion. This white cloth is the heater element, and it was very obvious where mine was bad, see pic #2. I simply cut out the burned wiring, stripped back 1/4" of insulation, tinned the wires, soldered them together, and covered with heatshrink tubing. I put some duct tape over the patch, as the cloth was not covering the wire anymore.

You need to give credit to Red Green " The Most Famous Canadian" for that saying.

My passenger side lo blinks. Is it possible to switch the lower seat pads from driver side to passenger side? My driver side is wearing out after 183,000 miles but the passenger side looks like new.

If I remember what I read, yes the cushions are interchangeable, or even just the cover if that's what you mean by "wearing out". My driver's side cover appeared symmetrical.
a blinking low means a short in your system, not a broken wire I think. But that is likely in the wiring under the seat.

DELAGEM- Thanks for posting the pictures my switch was blinking and i was looking in the wrong place for the fix. I went out there today and had my heated seat working again in about 40mins and everything back installed.. now my butt wont be cold anymore

Thanks also Delagem. The leather is pretty good but the cusion sags a little on the left side from sliding out of the seat. Kind of like your leaning to the left while your driving. The passenger side is hardly ever used so I might as well be comfortable.
