heated seat flashing

just curious if anyone knows why my driver seat heater isn't working. When i push high button, the low light comes on and starts to flash. can anyone just give me an idea to fix it. Or if it's fixable.

when one is flashing it means an open circuit. When the other flashes it means a short. I just don't remember which is which. An open circuit is the most common.

Okay, here are the facts.
Both lights flashing on either switch means the that element is shorted.
If element open, the high light only is blinking
If sensor out of range, the low light only is blinking.

This is from 2001 factory service manual.

That or a wire is broken off the sensor.

Yes, the drawing in the service manual shows it pretty close to where the wiring enters the seat.

My 01 did that and it was a broken wire right about where westTN described.
I peeled off the leather cover to find that the wire to the heater in the foam was broke too. Repaired and it worked perfect. I think that the wires into the foam of the seat do not have a lot of give and eventually the wire snaps.
