I think my truck has heated mirrors but not working. When i push button on dash should there be a light come on in glass of mirror?

I don't have anything pop up on my mirrors. Just on the button I push. It takes a little while for them to heat up.

the little "heat lines" to the right or what ever direction yours is of the botton gets an orange glow to it.

never noticed a lite on the mirrors... i had one side go out & when i upgraded to *****, both sides are working

If you are talking about the small etching on the mirror glass, no it doesn't light up. Just the heat indicator to the right of the switch should glow yellow/orange. If they are working you will see grid patterns in the mirror glas as they warm up, kind of like a maze viewed from above. Check the fusse if they aren't working.

After the system has been turned on for several minutes, the glass will actually feel warm to the touch.
