Head Lights wouldn't
I was having problems keeping the running lights on so I decided the Headlight switch was getting tired. I installed the new one and was a little concerned that the plug going to the switch had had a meltdown at one time or the other. I replaced the obvious loose lug connectors and put the dash back together and everything tested sat. That is until I tried leaving for work about an hour before sun up. The headlights wouldn't stay on. So back into the dash I go to dig out the switch. The part of the harness plug that was left in tact had a weak connactor and in the process of twisting the wires around to reinstall the switch it must have loosened up. I was a half hour late but I got my lights back. NAPA sells the light switch harness repair part for 41 bucks so I guess I will need to go back in there and do it right. Maybe this one will last longer since I'm using relays.

Tell your parts guy to get with it. NAPA-Echlin EC159 connector. I asked the guy here to pull a new head light switch to make sure it does fit. I'll probably solder it in this weekend. I don't care for lugging or butt splicing a high load center or a critical part.
