head gasket again

i replaced my head gasket 9 months ago and put arp head studs in when i did it. i oil out between the head and the block right in front above the fan pedastel. i think itscoming out the back too but cant see. what would cause this? the most booost it ever sees is 45psi. i was hoping the head studs would hold longer than that.

i have a buddy with a 95, we replaced the head gasket 3 times, less than a year, once after ARPs installed.finally had to have the head milled flat & o ringed.more than a year no problems, money well spent.may be your next(best)step,no more issues or head aches.

Head may not be flat. Did it blow in the same place?

Block not clean/ not flat in said location.

Improperly torqued.

Bad gasket.

In that order.

You always have to mill head when doing HG replacement, it's pretty much a requirement if you want it to seal real well

0-ringing the head will usually be around $375, plus the cost of milling it flat in the first place.

Usually, with a full machining package and a good valve job the tab will be around $2,300-$2,500. It is money well spent.

redneck, I had the head off on my truck this spring because of a coolant leak on the right side near the front.
The shop sent the head to Northside Engine Rebuilders in Saskatoon.
The head needed to be squared. They did a completed rebuild of the head for $2600 before tax. We priced out reman heads from Cummins and other reputable shops and they were right inline.
I didn't really want to see this bill but with the 480,000 km and many hours of idle time I should not complain.
