I have a HY35 and am wondering if there is some advantages to using this on my truck. I only have a 3gsk and a 10 plate a little forward right now but I'm thinking of some injectors and timing soon. And that will be as much as I intend to do. I'd like to know about this because I don't want to spend $1000. I've read the few posts I can find, so know about the 9cm2 exhaust etc. I'd like to hear from anyone who has actually tried this, more interested in experience than theory.

Maybe its a hy35. Does the E in HE mean electronic solenoid? If so then this is a HY.

HE351 is what the HPCRs use from '04.5+ (not the 6.7L AFAIK)

Best 'charger (not counting the VGTs) that Dodge ever put on a Cummins IMO!

Spools quick, flows plenty of air, still makes power at 45+psi, takes a lot of heat & abuse.

Price is right too! - you can pick them up for a buck fifty on ebay...

we're putting a pair on the '98 this winter.

Also remeber that XL8R's 98 has a v-10 in it not a cummins as of right now.

Well that would explain why he said a pair of them =\

Here you go. you need to know if its a HY35W type D or a HE351. there is a diff. You can just select each and see what you have.

How hard is the plumbing to rig up XLR or others who have done this?

Thanks 1stGen. It is a HY35D. It seems to me that this turbo should spool up quicker which would be nice. I'm just wondering about higher in the rpm range and egt's.
