Hey guys, I'm trying to locate the source(s) for the Extreme Duty pieces the transmission Gurus (Goerand, ATS, SouthBend, etc.) on here use. I've got a trans builder here in town I'm going to have build a transmission for me. I'm just looking for the names of the manufacturers that would supply clutches, bands, shafts, gears, etc. for their, (Gurus) build-ups. Planning on using a Goerand VB and probably their triple-disc TC also. I just think it's going to be much easier and cheaper to rebuild my current RE48, than it would be to order, ship, uninstall, install, return ship, etc. Plus, i've used this company the past 15 years and he'd be buying the parts, at a lower price. I'd hope. Saving me a little monet in the process.

I think HTS has a trans rebuild kit on their website. Not sure what all it uses, but I think there is one there. May be worth checking into.

By the way..... who are you using for trans work? I'm in north Alabama and don't really know where to go for trans work if I decide to do it semi-local.

If you have decided on a valve body from Goerand, why not ask him about a rebuild kit at the same time? Keep things simple, one vendor and just one guy to talk to if you have a problem
