I have had my CTD for about 6-7 months.
Except for a few 2.5 ton loads of crusher run stone, I have not worked it much. That changed yesterday when I buried my '86 International tractor down over a snow filled bank while plowing my driveway. We hooked onto it with the CTD and it came out after some very serious tugging. We kinda had to drag it sideways. The truck was required to pull it uphill on the ice/snow covered drive. For once I was not driving it--my buddy was, as I was steering the tractor, so I got to watch the truck perform.
When I first got this truck it was making a lot of black smoke on takeoff. Since that seems like a pointless waste of fuel to me, I had mods/tuning done that fixed it. Anyway, when he got his foot into it I expected to see a lot of black smoke and there was nothing. The only point of this post is to thank all of you for the info. It performed like a champ and i was happy not to be sucking down a bunch of greasy smoke. thanks.
