Have to do my clutch 6spd 02

Truck has been developing hard shifting issues and very hard to get in gear from dead stop...I am thinking clutch!

What clutch would be best bet for me..it's a working truck pulling a 40' trailer 18lbs at a time

Could be clutch material build up or syncro's going out.
You might try a fluid change.

when swapping fluid ina manual tranny...how do you know when it is full? where do you check.

word is the NV5600 holds roughly 4-5 quarts...and i have the fast coolers which hold an extra quart each so i have 7 quarts of royal purple synchromax ready to go in...but i dont wanna over/underfill it.

if your going to take it down to do a throwout bearing why not slap a new clutch in there as well?

I'm thinking pilot bearing - I would certainly change it if you have the transmission out.

After draining out as much fluid as possible (w/ pto cover off, get a rag and sob up as much as possible), fill it to the top of the fill hole. I wouldn't worry about getting "too much" in there. I think the only way to do that would be to overfill it from the top of the tranny via the shifter. You can fill it with a pump, or someone here used a 6ft hose and did it from up top.

My vote goes to either throwout bearing or pilot bearing. Mine is worse now after changing the clutch.
