I have diesel fever....went with the 95
I couldn't wait any longer I picked up the 95 this morning. Man I wish I had bought one of these 10 years ago. I am hooked. I'm really pleased with this truck. My first diesel. So now I'm gonna start picking your brains.
When I'm driving steady at 55mph and I let off the pedal there is a hard jolt. Is this common, anything in particular I should check? I seem to remember a buddy's F-250 doing that. This is the only thing odd I have noticed with this truck. Not sure if this is the right area for the question but I'm new to this forum stuff so bear with me.

Welcome to DTR! Your gonna love the 95, 12 valves rock! Of course, I’m kinda partial to the 95’s.
You need to fill out your signature so we know exactly what truck you have, 4x4, 2wd, 2500, 3500 etc.... We can help you better if we have all the info.
Here’s a link on how to do that;

Enjoy the site you will learn a lot and have fun too!

If yours is an auto, it is probably the convertor unlocking as JKM said. Mine does the same, try letting off a little more gently and see if it still does it.

Yes, assuming your truck is an auto, and relatively stock, then that "jolt" you feel should be much like the jolt you would feel if your truck were a stick shift and you did the same thing.
This is because at that speed, the tranny's torq converter has locked up (allowing a direct connection between engine and drive shaft just as a stick is).
When you let off the fuel, there is a delta between you letting off the fuel and the torq converter unlock.
That delta results in a jolt.
Rich.

Alright great input. Yes my truck is an automatic and if I ease off the throttle it is less noticable. If I am using the cruise control and disengage it theres no way around it. Thaks for the help.

I havent tried that trick yet benny I will do so today. I have been easing off the pedal as opposed to just pulling my foot off of it, and that really helped alot.
Well I have been driving this truck for more then a month now. I am really pleased with this thing. Hoping to make some modifications soon. I'd like to grind my own plate, put in the free GSK, change the timing.....the usual mods I see everyone doing here. If there is anyone in central Illinois thats interested in helping I'll provide the free beer.
