Yes, heard of that before. Bad FCA or Rail pressure sensor. Don't run it because you will loose an injector due to such high pressure. Wait for your parts to come in.

Mine did that last week at 11k miles, sounded like my 98 1/2 at idle, really clattery loud. They changed the pressure sensor on Monday and it fixed it, but had to take it back today because it became really hard to start so they are changing #6 injector. Should have the truck back tomorrow. I hope that solves the hard starting.

Enough Said.......Wish you some luck.... If not F1's are in your future. Dealer price is outragous and Cummins prices are O.K. but F1 Flux1's are the best bang for the buck.

IF, you loose an injector you take them out and send them to one of his dealers. Tips are 1200 dollars and He will rebuild them for $100 a piece if he finds issues with them as a courtesy for buying the tips. No tips, no rebuild. It would be about 1800 bucks to have them done. New injectors from Cummins are around 350 a piece. 2100 for six new ones. Hope you don't have any problems though.

From what I understand they are the whole thing. I don't know if they are new or rebuilt. The 800 dollar a piece ones are from the dealer. Don't buy them there that is for sure.

F1's are your injectors. Don takes your injectors and rebuilds them installing his tip during the process and then runs them on his bench to make sure all is well.

Cummins ones I don't know if they are rebuilt or new. Have to ask a Cummins shop about that.

X2. I had a problem with a ATS dual CP3 kit. I didn't put a fuse in the controller (like the instructions said ) and it would idle at 17k psi of rail pressure. It sounded like someone threw a handful of gravel in the head and I had fuel running out the exhaust. Which is exactally what happens when the FCA dies, it runs the pump wide open.
