Has anyone tired Z Max lubricant??
I tried a search but didn't come up with any hits. I am sure the stuff is snake oil, but thought that if it claimed to do what it does then it would be great to run in the fuel and keep the CP3 lubed a little better since ULSD kind of took away some lubrication, and it wouldn't hurt to get a little on the injectors...
One of the big things that make me think it's snake oil it that they post the MSDS sheets on thier website and from what I can make of it, it's just mineral oil???

What do you think???

I think you are correct, - - - snake oil.I've read on Bobistheoilguy that it is mineral oil. Put a couple of gallons or so of B-20 biodiesel, nothing sold will out perform it for lubrication of fuel system.

I use 2 cycle outboard motor oil to lube the injectionpump and top end. I mix it 1oz to 1gal. You can buy it at Wal-Mart for $10.88/gal. I put the oil in to qt. bottles and pour one in when I fill up. It burns ashless and there is no smoke.

I know about adding oils (trust me done them all ) to the fuel, but this stuff claims to "soak" into the metal surfaces...

Worse than snake oil.
>>>> "According to the FTC, the CRC L38 test is a standard auto industry tool to measure the bearing corrosion protection properties of motor oils. In February/March 1997, an independent laboratory performed two CRC L38 tests of zMax for Speedway and Oil Chem. In those tests, motor oil treated with zMax produced more than twice as much bearing corrosion as motor oil alone. The complaint also states that the defendants fabricated one "report" from the two test reports, eliminating the bearing corrosion results and all other negative test results, and then used that report and the "official laboratory results" - similarly edited to remove detrimental data results - as sales tools in the infomercial and on the zMax Web site.
