My 01 steering is hard and on long trips my arm gets cramped up also my brakes are hard too. so im thinking my power steering pump pressure is getting low ?

anyone have this problem? good cure?

I was thinking of an after market pump with higher pressure. sure would like to have it feel like my first gen.

Sounds like your vacuum pump is shot. Check that before you go any farther.

Surely you've checked the HydroBoost's fluid level - if it's full & not foaming it sounds like the pump.

it is full and i do have power steering but its very tight all the time

any good place to up grade?

Before you replace the PS pump, have you tried flushing the fluid for new? This may help sigificantly, and is cheaper than a new pump. If you do end up getting a new pump, any reman pump should be fine. It isn't often these pumps fail, and they have plenty of power in stock form.
