Hard starting
I have a 2000 3500 24 valve that is very difficult/impossible to start if parked headed up hill. It seems to start better facing downhill. Any ideas???

My truck acted like that when the return line was rotten coming off the Injection Pump.
It allowed air into the system so the fuel was able to flow back to the tank. Use high quality diesel rated hose when you fix it, or you will be doing it again in a year or two.

I will try both of these options. One other thing...this afternoon I had it on a steep incline. Let the pump cycle through, cranked for about 7-8 seconds, nothing. Then I tried short little cranks and it started...I don't know why that would make a difference.
