Hard Start

I have an 01 truck. If the truck sits for several hours it cranks slow but fires up. if I run it for awhile and it only sits a few minutes it will crank slow and no start. I can let it crank forjust a sec let off the key and my fuel pressure will build up and it will fire up. I have never had this prob until my fuel gelled a couple weeks ago now i cant seem to figure it out. I have cracked the fuel lines, checked the batteries, starter is new. I cant figure out whats going on

I have seen a problem with this, the fuel lines coming out the tank crack, making your truck lose it's prime. I'll post the thread up if I can find it.

Welcome to the DTR, BTW.

I would think if it was loosing its prime it would be harder to start after it sat several hours and not the other way around. I did read the thread you posted and thanks for the info. I will check the lines this weekend. I'm starting to think I might have just gotten a crappy starter.

Could also be a starter, they will start harder when they are hot.

You can pop that off easy and take it to autozone to get it tested...
