Hankook AT RF10 verus Hankook MT RT03

Got a quote yesterday on a LT285/70/17 for the AT it was 166.00 a piece. On the MT same size it was 183.00.This price is minus mount, balance, stems, tax's.Thoughts on this tire and price. If I can get 50,000 out of these tires, before replacement I would have my tire cost control a done deal.Nobody carried the tire in stock all had to be ordered,so the only thing I can see is a online pic, thoughts?

I have 20k on a set of AT's for my dually They were new 4 months ago. The belts separated in 2 of them and I replaced them with BFG Rugged Trails. I had a front end vibration that was driving me nuts.

The tires were new, so I ruled them out at first. I rebalanced the tires, did front end alignment, replaced drivers side u-joint, took out front driveshaft, replaced rear driveshaft (bad u joint and carrier bearing), and the shake was still there. It obviously needed all that work, but none of it fixed the vibration. Then a mechanic hooked up some sort of device under the truck to determine what the problem was. There was one really bad tire up front and one starting to separate in the back.

I am off the Hankook bandwagon. I bought them because they were inexpensive and I have to buy them 6 at a time once a year. Never again. That is my personal experience with Hankook. I am not trying to bash them, I just won't run them again.

Wow,what a drag that must of been. What happen to quality assurance.I guess I keep saving till I can afford the Michelin/Toyo again?I am leaning towards the HT in a Toyo now. There MT's are way to expensive for my budget minded wallet.Only one reply tells me not to many people are putting these on Dodge trucks..Thanks for the reply..

dj, how did you figure out exactly the tires wer bad, and how many miles were on the tires when you started having vibrations? I have a set on right now that refuse to balance, run em on the machine, spin zeros, loosen the mount on the machine, turn tire a little and re spin..... way out of balance........... two trie shops and same results. I put it off as a problem witht he way my H2 rims were bored out, but not sure 'cause the last sets of tires I had would balance true. 315 70 17 hankook rf10's here. I get the vibe at 62 to 68 mph, quite uncomfotable.
