hamilton cam first impression

finally got my truck back together after waiting on my head for 2 and ahalf weeks but anyway i got her back together, i havent run it hard yet waiting to torq the studs one last time, but i drove it for a while last night with the adrenaline off and the spool up is awesome even without the box, the cruising egts are 100+ degrees cooler. you can tell by just driving that the turbo seems to be moving more air by the sound of it. i cant wait to finish up the torq on the studs so i can drive it kinda hard and see how it acts.

The cam really helps the top end power. Tate's, your dually should really start waking up above 3000's rpm's area, vs. the old cam.

You guys need to up grade springs with the cam? Rumor is their is a new grind coming out shortly.

are these cams really worth it? i dont have anything done to my truck yet i just bought it and plan on paying it off soon so i can start modding it. but i plan on building it for towing. would putting a cam in be a good way to go, especially for towing?

yes a cam would be great for towing, would make the egt's alot lower under loads, the more i drive my truck the more i love this cam, it kinda sucks to hear that there might be a new grind out soon thats real dissapointing, but i still like it alot i really cant wait to get a big charger on this thing now.

I want more lift and duration on my camshaft, without flycutting. Just prototype stuff, as long as it keeps getting better, I'm all in for change. I have an old stage 2 PDR cam in mine truck. Its a blast to street drive, but its not for racing and pushing big rpm's.

Mild after market cam can do wonders for better engine breathing on low end. Just don't go too aggressive.
More is not always better!

We do have some new grinds coming out, but they are just mild differences. A little twist on the 181/210 to get it to spool even earlier and flow the same on the top. We also will be coming out with more competition minded CR cams as well as Big 12v Pulling series cams. We have had all of these in the past but now we are getting more serious with them.

for a slightly crazy sob like myself, who likes to race, as well as daily drive his truck, what could you suggest? if I do it, I want to do it once, springs and cam. future could see a set of twins, or I could stay for a while with the 64 in my sig. feel free to call me, cell # is in my sig. thanks, Mike

Zach, good to hear from ya over here. I look forward to trying one of these new wild big cams in one of my new racing builds. Been trying hard to find a big cam that I don't have to do any fly cuts in the piston, this time around.

I got my Hamilton installed this week and I am very happy with the results so far.

I have not really had a chance to push it because we are still pretty much snowed in over here, but cruising egt and boost are down...the motor is very smooth and it is amazing how quiet it has made my motor.

There is definitely some more low end power there and the turbo spools up super quick. I cant wait to let her rip!

Big thanks to Zach...Great product
