ham radio???

I have a 2007 CC .....lately I've been having trouble with the driver's door speaker...crackling and some whistling noise in it...sounds like I'm trying to tune in some ham radio
anyone ever experience anything like this? Its the same whether I have a CD playing, Sirius...or the regular radio....it does it intermitently with all of them.

There is a TSB regarding radio noises, 08-046-06/2004-2007 models. It primarily suggests that cell phones are the contributor to much of these general signal interferences. It is an information only bulletin advising that the customer move their cell phone use away from components. So, to make a long story short, your sounds may be coming from either your cell phone use or that from a vehicle nearby.

Other than that, no TSB's or suggestions for fixing the problem from Dodge. I did read a post some time ago, here on this site, that did discuss the speakers and funny sounds and I believe what fixed it was reversing the plug-on wires at the speaker. Maybe someone will post what they know about this and either tell you how to fix it or post the link taht discusses it. You might want to search the forum for issues with the drivers door speaker or your stereo model to find the thread.

My Ham equipment also sounds good. I have heard that the Black Helicopters overhead at night can cause a whistle and cracking sound in the speakers LOL

I get cell phone induce noise in my bedroom clock radio and TV even when the radio and TV are turned off! It would not surprise me to have noise in the truck from the cell phone.

THANKS GUYS...........I believe that my cell phone was charging while plugged into the power outlet while I was experiencing this noise....I did not use the charger yesterday and didn't hear the strange tuning in Tokyo sounds.....I will continue the experiment and see what happens....thanks again for the info!
