Ive got H2s and BFG A/T 315s straight off a hummer. They stick out a little and chip the paint on the rockers. Anyone have pics of flares with this setup? What type would give the right coverage? Im looking at pocket flares, but dont want them to "engulf" the tire.

I just got a set of pocket style, no cut flares to go on my truck, not sure how they are going to work yet, too cold to put them on......... I have the H2 rims but wore the bfg's out and have a new set of 315's on it, NOT bfg's.

been thinking about doing a set of flares with these... however, the tire sticking out past the fender improves the looks of the truck if you ask me. if i do plan on doing flares ill probably go with a set from a power wagon.

Yea, I want the outside of the tire to be flush with the outside of the flare.

I don't have any pics, but I installed the Powerwagon flares, they fit perfectly with the amount of tire that extends. NO overkill in the looks, nice coverage for most of what the tires throw off. I also have the Dura Flap mudflaps, again attractive but not overkill, they line up nicely with the outer edge of the tread but the sidewall is just at the edge and beyond. Occasionally when the wheels are turned and of course the tread is beyond the flare I do get a stone or two hitting the truck (mostly the nerf bars) and also get a little mud spray, but all is much more contained and not doing paint damage.

The Mopar Powerwagon Flares are pre-drilled for our fender mountings and so are the Dura Flaps. They also work well with the front and rear wheel well liners as they too are pre-fitted to the mounting holes. WIN-WIN all together.

Here's my H2's with 315's.
I'm using Bushwacker's OE flares. They are smaller, have smoother lines, and are not quite as wide as the Bushwacker extend-a-flare in the pictures of the truck linked above.
I researched both Bushwacker's OE and extend-a-flare before I bought mine and looked at many owner's photos here.
IMO the extend-a-flares are just a little too big looking for original wheels or the H2 wheels when using 315 or smaller tires.
Because the H2 wheel's back spacing is very close to an original Dodge rim it does an excellent job of keeping the wheel/tire under the truck,
the bigger extend-a-flare makes the tires and wheels look too small on the truck.
If you are going with some of the other aftermarket wheels that have less back spacing and cause the wheels/tires to hang out of the body a great deal more the extend-a-flare is a better choice.
I don't plan on going any bigger than my current 315 tires so for me the
OE flairs offered the best fit.
The tires come out to the very edge of the flairs, but do not stick out.
I also have installed Mopar's wheel well liners and contoured mud flaps, (not shown). The mud flaps help out a great deal and the Mopar side steps also stop much of the debri from hitting my rockers and doors.
I'm very happy with my setup, I get VERY little mud, snow, salt, and rocks thrown on the body.

Killer Bee your truck looks great. Looks like a solid truck. Not over the top jazzed up. Tough with just a little bit of extra style. What a truck should look like to me. I have the same wheel set up and have been planning on ordering the same OE bushwackers. Couple of questions about the mud flaps. Did you need the extra protection? Where the flares alone not enough? Do you have pics with the mud flaps installed.
