H2e turbo
I am looking for a turbo that is in the same class of CFM as this turbo or slightly bigger. I know that there is a non-Holset version also called the S-300. Has anybody tried the 14cm and 12cm exhaust housings on the H2e from Bell Turbo? What is the differences in the USB, ASB, MSB, etc from Bell Turbo? Is there anybody in the Mid-West doing this type of hybrid work? Are there any ball-bearing turbos that are out for the Cummins in this area of air-flow? I am not intrested in Kurts turbos, or the PDR-HX50. I was intrested in the PDR-40, but that is just a tad small for what I want. I know that many concider the "B-Line" of turbos to be the best, but I'm not intrested in them. Twins are out of the price range, and don't want the added headache of them. thanks.

Re:H2e turbo
I have had the chance to see trucks with many different types of turbos from many different vendors. From my expierence JR Adkins makes the best Holsets around. All have modified berings and are completely ballanced. He can make you a S 300, HX 55, or H2E with any housing you would like. His prices will surprise you too. He is located in Indiana and you can find him here (DTR) or on the (TDR).

Can you make me a turbo that spools like a 35 with the low temps and high boost of a 50?

We got the Hybrid HX55 back and on my truck. ;D ;D We set the waste gate at 40psi sinse I still have a stock head gasket. Give me a holler and we can go for a spin. It would basically be a direct bolt in on your truck, Darrell would need to do a little exhaust system work.

Re:H2e turbo
What size exhaust housings is JR Adkins putting on these things. I have always concidered the 50/55 line to be too big, and is why i was looking for a H2e size hybrid. The 50 also I know is kind of delicate.
Pourin:
As for something the size of a 50 and spooling up like a 35, what is wrong with wanting your cake, and eating it too?

The exhaust housing is a modified HX40 16cm wastegated housing. I don't know the exact wheel sizes and don't want to give away to much info. It basically installs just like an HX40.

Now that sounds like the turbo for me. 8) I was just thinking about if that could be done to a 55. Maybe JR can post a price.

JR has been "Wormed" and will be off line for a few days, he is hoping to be back up by Monday. PM me your phone number and I'll have him give you a call. I also believe he is planning to head to KY this weekend for a get together.

I have almost 4000 miles on the HX55 now, just returned from a 2000 mile road trip to New Orleans and the turbo is doing great. Finally got thes truck dynoed before Christmas and was happy with the results.
