H20/Meth and Nitrous - Do they Play Well together??

Hey all...

I just finished installing my Water Methanol and Nitrous Systems.

I am curious as to the effects of running them both at the same time.

Seeing as I purchased both of these kits from a Ford 6L guy who chucked a piston through the side of his block the first time he used these 2 together, I figure I had better do a little research.

Please give me some input.

Thanx!

I use them together all the time. I just drop the mixture down to 40/60 (meth/water).

i know you can freeze the water so you have to stage them correctly.

You probly wont freeze the water if you run methanol with it. Ive ran propane and straight water with no problems. Propane and Nitrous can be run together same with Nitrous and Water/Meth but I dont think you'd want to be too aggressive with it what kind of head work do you have?

Heres mine.

Nitrous behind the dipstick and W/M behind the solenoids.

Both water/meth and nitrous make the intake charge more cool and oxygen rich...therefore both advance the timing. I wouldn't use water/meth less than 40% meth if I was running nitrous. (I won't use meth anymore but that is another story) If you only had one solenoid and nozzle I'd inject the nitrous before the intercooler...the most efficient spot (not the most effective if volume is going to be big but if you don't want to have to fill your tank constantly and get the most bang for your buck) the water/ meth I'd inject on the pipe between the intercooler and the intake horn...at a height lower than intake horn (from experience). I would only trigger the water/meth off boost and EGT's for safety and performance. If you cool the intake charge too much with too much timing you get a big loss of power. Everything in moderation or for racing only. Water/Meth works if you are not overfueled...Nitrous only works if you are overfueled. KS
