Guys with hood stacks??

Mainly for those that street drive. Do you regret putting hood stack on your truck? I'm getting close to cutting the hole in my hood!! I only drive the truck maybe 1k miles a year, take it out for a he** ride on weekends then put away.
Just didn't know how bad it really is to see out of or how bad it dirty's the truck?

A guy near me has a 1st Gen with a hood stack and he really blows the black smoke. Personally I'm turned off by his antics, as it gives diesel owners a bad name but if you gotta have one, you gotta have it.

I think pipes coming out of the hood or stacks in the back of the truck look trashy. Their is no practical reason (unless sled pulling where it is a rule) to have a hood stack or stacks in the back of the truck. You are actually loosing cargo room, and no performance is gained. Keep the exhaust where it belongs, under the truck. You will also hurt re-sale value because a lot of guys, myself i ncluded have walked away from several trucks soley for this reason because it makes me wonder if the owner is a 16 yr old kid hot rodding it and blowing black smoke all over town. typically the only people you see with smoke stacks are smoking up every intersection they can, and beat the every living crap out of their trucks.....this is just my opinion though, I do have several very good friends who have smoke stacks on their trucks and are very mature and responsible, but this is pretty rare I think...ha ha. Either way, good luck to you and let us know how it turns out.

Depending on what they find when we get the Rhino into the shop (again), we may end up with an old toyoter with a hood stack replacing it.

Hood stack would be solely for getting the exhaust away from the grass.

There was an S-10 in our town that had a stack made form pipe fittings. Looked like 1-1/2". I've seen it a couple of times but haven't been in a position to get a pic.
