Guage Wiring Help Needed
Ok i have my Westach fuel pressure sender installed and plummed in. Now its time to wire up the guage. I mounted the guage just under the ash tray. For the 12v power for the guage i plan on tapping into the wire for the Cigarette Lighter. Should i put a fuse in-line between the Cig lighter and the guage? Seems like a 20 amp fuse is way too big for protection if something shorts out. When i hook up the light for the guage can i use the Cig Lighter power too? I dont care that the light wont dim i just want it on. Oh and 1 more thing i can use the same ground as the guage (the one that goes back to the sender then ground) for the light right?
After i get this wired up and working I hope my next post will NOT be asking for tips on replacing a LP

Your wiring plan sounds ok to me, if it's only for one gauge.
I used a Painless Wiring module to add 7 more fused circuits to handle accessories.
See if there's a light for the ash tray and use that wiring for the illumination, that will put it on the dimmer circuit.

I just wanted to make sure before i did this. My ash tray does not appear to have a light. Maybe its just burnt out i will check. The wiring kit is what i will use when and if i install more stuff. It seems the best way to get power. As for the A piller. I decided not to use a piller pod because i do not like the look of them. I mounted the guage low so it is almost unnoticeable. I like the stock look in the cab. Thanks
