Does anyone know where I can get a air dam for the front of my truck?.
I want a dam that would go below the front bumper so I can try and straighten out the airflow below the truck and I would also like to incorporate a larger air inlet for my ram air.
A few places for some lights would ne nice too.
Anyone know how the ground clearence (height) has in relationship to the fuel efficency and overall drag on our trucks?. I know on my last truck I had a C30 Silverado chevy with a 6.2 diesel and my mileage was quite a bit better than a friends that had a 2" lift with all things being equal.
He was into the HIGH look and never went off road and I had slam air, low to the ground and salt flat disk on the rims.
I have seen some of the moulded in kind on the later trucks and really like the one Banks has on the Dakota. If I cannot find one I might see if I can make one from aluminum.
Thanks for any ideas. Jim.

I needed to get fuel last today but was in a hurry as usual and it was $2.59 gal. [eyecrazy] [eyecrazy] on my way out, so I figured I will get it on the way home and so I went past the station and within the period of about 1 hour it was now $2.79 gal. [yuk] [yuk] [yuk] man, I about choked. I never let it get below 1/4 tank in case if emergency so I drove past the other locals and they were not so bad.. only $2.59 to about $2.65 so I went home all depressed thinking how it is costing me about $80.00 to $90.00 to keep the tank topped off PER WEEK. Thank God I can pass on about 50 percent to my work but I still have to put it up front and wait about a month to get paid. I am getting real serious about making bio, I just need to buy the equipment and I am in business. Even if the inital outlay is around $1,500.00 the rate fuel is going it should pay for itself probably in about a year. Heck even if I had to replace the injector pump every year I would still be ahead. What do you think?

Oh I forgot what I was saying, ahyhow I went on home and had dinner, then I went to work tonight and I passed all of the stations and I for some reason thought, I should drive past this 76 station that is sometimes cheaper so I kinda went out of my way a few miles when I saw this sign in the distance, #2 DIESEL $2.49 gal. This is NOT the best neighborhood to be in anytime of the day especially with a $100.00 bill in your hand. :(
Man I pulled in and took on $50.00 of this cheap stuff and filled it up. Isn't it funny how the government screws with your mind to make you happy to pay an outragious price by simply making it a few cents cheaper than the next place. This has got to be some kind of mind control. This is the old frog in the frying pan senerio. raise the temp fast and you kill the frog but raise it slow and it acclimates to the surroundings.
Simply replace the frog with people and that's what we got.

Sorry I got off track. Jim

Jim,

AFAIK, nobody makes body kits for the earlier gen trucks like ours. '94 and up no problem. I'm sure somebody use to and I'll bet the molds still exist, just no current production.
