Greetings....& broken door linkage
"Long time listener, first time caller." Dave here, outstanding site! I've been reading, learning for some time,,,time to jump in.
The linkage on drivers side rear door "popped" and clattered to bottem of door the other day. I'm sure to fix it, the inside panel has to come off, BUT can't get the rasum- frasum door open to access. Anyone have the cure? Remove the door handle & work through hole?
Will post some ideas that might be of some help to you'al soon.... Cheep seat covers, leaves & debries out of blower motor box, Airsep install, Anti bug cure for Raid., Skid plates &......
Momma swears I wasn't dropped on my head, but you can never know for sure.
Thanks for your time.

What happened is the bolt that holds the pivot for the release rods let go. An early sign of this is when it takes more handle travel to get the door to release. Remove the handle and you can pull on the upper and lower rod to release the door. Once that is open, remove the panel, find your parts, and reassemble using a little bit of loctite on the pivot bolt. Don't overtighten it.

Thanks for the info. Thought the fix might be along those lines. Was a little leary about just diving in blind.
