Green tm. air filter anyone?
Went to an idiot dealer and he wanted to put in a K&N. My regular dealer wanted me to try a Green brand filter. Cotton preoiled from the factory. Anyone try these and do they filter as well? They say they filter down to 5 microns!!! Any input would be helpful. K.S.

I have seen the green filters advertised before, but no experience with them. Let us know if you get one. I have a K&N cone. Nobody seems to like them, but i never find any dust/black stuff in my intake tube, though I would like to have an AFE. Let us know if you get one.

I have one in my truck and I think it is way better that the stock paper. I gave about 75.00 for it and about 20.00 for the cleaner kit. I have cleaned it twice so far. It does weed out the dirt.
I also found out that a sink of hot water and Mr. Clean and a soft brush gets that filter cleaner than the cleaner that Greens makes.
I can also hear my turbo more since I bought it. So I must be getting more air now.
Would I buy it again. Yea, I would.
BTW: my tubes are not dirty with black stuff. And the turbo blades are pretty clean too. Just don't over oil the filter is the big thing.

Guys, I took a closer look at the filter today and the pleats aren't as deep as the stock and there are less pleats but they are evenly spaced and seem to be less susceptible to bunching like stock do. It is definitely heavier! I'm going to try it once I get my air box mods in place. ks
