Greasable U-Joints weaker????

A friend of mine suggested that greasable U-Joints must be weaker as the holes for the grease to flow through makes them hollow and therefore weaker...

They may be weaker, but I have never seen one break that was in good condition either. The only ones I have seen break have needed grease.
