Got a wild hair...

I decided to paint the bottom half of my truck with bed liner, hoping to prevent any rust. Turned out decent I think for $56 total including tape, sandpaper and tape. I didn't want my truck to look like every other white truck.

Nothing wrong with being different. Looks good. Will also protect the lower body panels from rocks and road debris slinging up against them.

Looks good!
I've been thinking of doing that to my 01, it's
all white and has a lot of chips in the paint in that area.
Thanks for posting .

Have a cousin who did that with a Ranger, then came up the front fenders and half way up the A-pillar, then painted it lime green, fading to a darker green in the back. Really stood out.

With the black grill and bumper, I thought it would break up the white. Plus, it should prevent some rust. I would like to black out the truck but that will have to be a later project. I don't like my truck looking like everyone else's.

I saw a pickup in a parking lot where the guy painted the lower parts of the body and fenders in irregular pattern with a couple shades of brown bed liner.
Made it look like mud all over the side of the truck.
Great for the big tired 4 wheeler who only cruises the boulevard.
Actually looked pretty good.
