Anyone notice higher egts with your built tranny when excellerating? I can get to 700 fairly easy, did nto not notice that high before, is it do to the 3 disc TQ converter and vb putting more power to the ground over the loose stock converter.

I think you are right, the engine is actually working a little harder now that you have a more efficient converter. I didn't really notice the egts rise after I got mine built but I have read and heard from several people that theirs did go up some.

What converter did you go with?

You will see them go a little higher.. The engine in no longer slipping the TC when power is supplied. You are now pulling a little more power from the engine.

I noticed my egts went up a little too. The engine is putting the power to the ground and working a little harder around town.

That is what I thought.Just was not expecting the egts to rise as fast.Thanks. Torque converter is a triple disc from Precision thay make converters for dragster and such did not know much about them but my tranny guy swears by them we will see.www.gopnh.com I did notice when you let off the throttle or coast the egts drop big time right away,going down a small hill egts will drop to 250. Just more info. I noticed could not find after a search any of this info from other people with built trannys so thought I would let other people know what I have noticed so far. Will post on any other observations. Thanks for all your replies. Mike
