Got a stack idea...
So something that's been on my mind for a couple years is to add stacks to my truck, but to go about it in a different way than I have ever seen before. My idea is rather than coming up through the floor of the bed is to come up where the cab and bed meet, cut out the front corners of the bed and weld in radius clearance pieces and run them up the entire height of the cab, mounted flush with the side of the truck. Here's a rough MS Paint version of what I'm talking about:
Anyway, I was out looking at my truck and I noticed that the top of the cab is significantly narrower than the width of the bed, and if I used this method then the the stacks would stick out beyond the body lines at the top. I'm trying to visualize this and I'm afraid that it might look bad. Has anybody ever done anything like this before?

i've seen 1-2 trucks with that done but they we're not done well, only thing i see is that you will have to go under/over the frame so it may hang low. post pics when your done.

I've been toying with that idea myself for a while. I too many other projects, that i haven't thought about putting more time to look into it myself. I feel if you take your time & do it right, it could look really cool. I think the trick will be choosing the correct pipe size and adding in the right size mufflers/heat shields.
