I got spanked tonight by a honda civic, you guys know the ones.I tried a second gear start but smoked the rear tires, tried a third gear start but the truck bogged down so hard it all most stalled.The truck is pretty much stock accept for a VA box,14inch K&N cone filter,turbo ring fell off,stock 3inch strait pipe exhuast,3.55 gears.I need to know what needs to be done to this truck so this guy who works somewhere around me see's my tail lights next time we meet. >

sounds to me like you need to look at your tires. You can have all the power you want but if you can't hook up it means nothing. you are prolly dumping the clutch at too high rpms for your tires. comming out of the hole is tricky when you have as much torque. you need to get the power that you have to the pavement before you add any more power if that makes sense. just my 02

I tried a third gear start at about 2100 rpm's but the truck just bogged down.The second gear start was at about the same rpm.

You need more fuel than a VA if you want to race a bit. Try some Mach 3s-- that should be the start of your fuel shortage cure....

I'm about to test out some EDMs...I have run 275s, DD3s, and Super Mentals...

Practice a few launches before the next race, and get those injectors and gauges in...he'll see your taillights!

You could always get him on a roll, say part way through your 3rd gear.... ;D

Oh I dont know. I can shift it about as fast as a stone crusher. My biggest problem is about 10% of the time I miss getting it into third. Guess I need to practice ;D

I'm not sure. I need to discuss this more with some people with more knowledge on them than me. I am currently running super mentals. I like them, but for towing my DD3s were better. About the same power and heat, but with the 3s, I got almost 2 1/2 mpg better. That is with 14,000 lbs behind me. Same roads, same weather.
