Here's the deal just did my trans with a Suncoast Converter, Valve Body and Extreme Rebuild Kit and now I have a few questions/problems.
#1 I've got a leak at the dipstick and I need to know how its sealed into the trans and how hard is it to fix?
#2 Under light throttle it wait forever to shift and when it hits 3rd gear it hits harder than any vehicle I've driven.

Just would like a few idea of what to do to try to fix these problems.

Did you purchase and install these tranny parts? Not sure if you had a shop complete this install and may be able to ask for there input.

I have had the shift hang every now and then but have not worried about it. I think mine seems to happen more when it is not warmed up.

How many miles did you have on the stocker before changing? What do you think about the upgrade?
Good Luck..

I purchased the parts through a local diesel performance company and they made arangements to do the rebuild at a local shop. As far as shift hang it doesn't matter it its cold or hot. And the stocker had 128,000 on it and it was slipping too much for my liking. Overall I like that it will hold what ever power I throw at it.

I just had my trans redone with the transgo shift kit and it seems like it hangs a little for me. I talked to my trans guy and said that now it has 100% line pressure all the time so if you can modify your tune for line pressure you should because tuners and programers bump up the line pressure for firmer shifts.

I had a full built suncoast and I burnt it.. It would take a long time for 2nd to go to 3rd.. and the shifts were really harsh.. It turned out that the second gear band was burnt and not functioning properly.. and the shifts were due to the line pressure being so high.. I had Ryan at Toxic re-do my tranny and now all works great.. the only gear that hits hard now is OD.. and only when Im deep in it on the on ramps.. [roll]

Well got the leak the fixed with a $3.50 part from the dealer. Talking with the shop the hard shifts are from the high line pressure like yall said.
