Got my first diesel...

Hi everyone. Picked up my first diesel last saturday and so far I love it!
Its a 2003 Ram 3500 SRW 6-speed. 148k. When loaded its usually with a heavy payload of tools to support my '77 monty carlo figure 8 car in tow behind me. or my 1992 dakota straight axle conversion rock crawling machine... too many hobbies
Anyway being this is my first diesel I know I have a lot of reading to do here. I can tear apart and rebuild gas burners all day but this is something new to me.
My only other experience with oil burners is my dad had an '04 2500 cummins/auto for pulling his 30' 5th wheel. he had the BDTD/outlook crazy larry, magnaflow 5" turbo back, and true flow air intake.
So far all I have is factory 4" turbo back straight pipe and gutted intake tube, mia silencer ring...
The first thing I am looking for is gauges and a programmer. I was looking at BD but also had Smarty recommended to me so Im unsure at the moment
