Got me a couple of codes
Hi guys, well, this is my first thread here, I have been enjoying just having to read all the great info here, but now, well I have a question.
Last week, after leaving my truck at work while i was away for 2 weeks, I came back to find the batterys dead. Got a boost ok, and had a check eng light, but did not know how to check for codes. The next day the light was out, and I forgot about checking until today (found out how to check here, thanks).
I got 2 codes:
P1755
P2509
Could one of you let me know what these are, and if the dead battery could have been the cause (of vice versa), and if they are really inportant to get fixed right away, as I have to leave for 2 weeks again on Thursday and my girlfriend will be driving my truck during my time away.
Thanks, Bryan

Since the CEL light went out after a few start and runs, then the condition that set the codes is probably not present any longer.
It is probably not anything to worry about. If you can find someone with a scanner that can clear the codes and they don't come back then don't worry about them. If the problem does not come back the codes will clear on their own, but it will take a lot of start runs and a good while.
P1755 Governor Control System - This could be related to the battery failure.
P2509 Ecm/pcm Power Input Signal Intermittent - Probably because of the battery failure. I would not worry about this it should go away with good batteries.

Well, that is a load off my mind, thanks very much RamWheelsBy4.
That is an awful lot of codes, I work on a Bell407 helicopter that has an ECU, and it does not have half the codes as these trucks do. Oh well.
Thanks again.
