got the 40" Donaldson installed
well, I have my camper on, no drone. was going down the interstate at 70 and could not notice much of a difference in sound. I guess i was a little bummed that it wasn't louder, but after thinking about it is just right for my standards. you can definitely hear the turbo whine more and it is not as deep as I hoped, but i like it. Anyway, thanks to all that has helped!!

Did you have to have any adapters on either end when swapping out with the stock muffler?
I'm trying to figure out which length is pretty much a direct swap with the stock unit for an 06 with 4" exhaust.

I agree...my 51" donaldson has seemed to gained more "tone" now that it has some miles on it. I really like how it sounds...very very deep and you can hear the turbo a lil' more through the exhaust now...
I'm very happy with mine....

Since the stocker is offset, had to add an elbow. you can order the Donaldson/Nelson mufflers offset, but I wanted a true straight thru. You don't have to add the elbow, but it really helps tuck it up under there, you have to almost crawl under to see the muffler now, which i like. I would imagine yours will be really quiet cause you have a cat. but i am no muffler expert. good luck!

You can pretty much clamp it in with no elbow mod. There will be a slight angle change but nothing drastic. I used 4" band clamps from Napa and local muffler shop. Took about 15 mins and $40 fo labor.

I don't think the dtr store has them, cause i looked. ryder fleet products, cheap, great service and was free shipping when i bought mine. you will need the skew # when ordering for whichever one you want, and there are several!
