Goodyear Silent Armor Tires

Had three sets of these, have had very good luck with them. Second set on 08 Ram 3500 Mega Cab 4x4. Here the problem, tire shop put 80PSI in the back tires 70PSI in front, Tires say MAX 55PSI. I do no heavy hauling, 12ft trailer&Rhino. 80psi seem alot. They said going off the door tag, but why would they want to so high of the psi.

They should never go above tire max pressure. Drop them down to 55 or 50.

Take the pressure back down. You never want to exceed the max cold PSI on the sidewall. That high pressure isn't doing a lot for your ride or handling, either.

They are not load range E if they say that. I have a set also. Just checked my tires, the MAX cold psi is 80psi, just like all load range E tires are.

There are many load range E's out there that max out at 65 psi.

Hopefully they charged you for the E tires or you're in for a shock in price difference.

Last time for me it was about $960 out the door for 4 new 265/75R16 Michelin LTX. That's a shocker.

Even with the E tires on it, you don't have to run the pressure at the max unless you're loading them to the max.

I normally run 45 or so for daily driving, pump em up for hauling wood, or the fiver.

D350, the fronts actually run more air pressure than the back.

Our tires should all say LT2XX-XX-RXX - LT == Light Truck. You have the incorrect tires on, and they may be a significant safety hazard with the weight of the diesel on the fronts.

LT3XX if you are running larger tires.

EVANS called me so sorry don't know what happen right tires order, no charges (tires they put on was about $45 cheaper). BUT IT GOES on, got the new tire on yesterday, wanted to check the PSI, went to the front pax tire, just stood there shaking my head, they had put on "C" load range, checked the other three they were "E" I was pasted P'd. Called the manager, he couldn't believe it. So today go back get one tire put on. I'm going to get a rear end service out of this one. Checkout the fluid type they put in. Make sure the manager shows you what's going in and observe the monkey installing it.

You know, I am going the opposite way, I say stay WITH them. Ok, things didn't go as planned, but the customer service was top notch, they owned up to it and are making it right. You always get kicked when you are down, and the one "C" rated tire proved it. Should they have been inspecting each one as they put it on? Yea, but we all know those guys are humpin it trying to make a living like the rest of us.

I am actually envious that we don't have a place with that kind of CS here.........
