I was searching the internet for wrecks that may have motors, trannys, axles ect for a project 03 or for just backup parts to my modded 03 truck and I come across some gasser forums that I just sat and laughed about.

The first was a chevy s-10 forum Those guys are hilarious! They talk like they know something about diesels in fact one guy said something like this: your dads truck has something wrong with it cause it keeps blowing black smoke There was one old conversation about ford owns cummins, blah blah blah, and that dodge had no clue with the cummins becasue it was outdated! Those guys really think that they got something with those little modded S-10's

The second was a ford gasser forum that had some guys talking about transplanting a cummins into an old f 350 gasser. A couple guys ganged up on him and said that an old 351 will be more reliable if you rebuilt it plus you could make it go faster than a "slow poke" cummins diesel

 

ha thats funny....some of my friends stil say that when my truck blows a big black cloud

 

Another tidbit of those guys infinite wisdom: "I wouldnt run a diesel as far as speed is concerned they are to heavy and dont produce horse power."

 

Just remember we need to keep the fact that diesels are great hotrods a secret. The less they know the wider their eyes will be when they're looking through a cloud of smoke at your tailgate!

 

I agree its funny when they try to blow by and they are wound out and you leave them!
