Good info that I fount today

I had a engine light come on the other day . It went off before my appt at the dealership. I went today to see what had happened. I told them when I got there that I had a quadzilla box. Well I unhooked it before they checked it. The code they found was from the box. It said engine fuel tampering. So the quadzilla will also show up. The were real cool about it. They errased them and I was on my way home. Just a little info for everone.

Pretty well know, the only box that won't leave a trace is Smarty.

Trust me, they logged the info on your VIN number. Any warranty claims will be on you for engine, injector, injector pump, ect.

There are no free lunches in this world.

what was the exact code you got? it was probably something stupid like a high or low voltage which doesn't mean anything was tampered with, much less you told them ahead of time you had it so that is the easy way out and a way to scare you.

I heard that Edge, Predator, and Banks leave no "foot-print" on the trucks. I think these are all modules, instead of programmers. But I thought Qudzilla was a module as well.

Why would you tell them you had a box?You must be rich. They could not tell I had mine, offcourse they asked because of my gauges.I was under the impression from researching here that it was not detectable.

I have the race model. I was up front with them and they respected that I think. They had no problem with me having it on there. They give me a print out with the code and problem on it but I left it in the truck.

There is no code that says "fuel system tampered with".

There are codes that can come up and part of the repair process says to make sure all plugs are in place and make sure nothing has been tampered with.

Trust me, I have a DRB3 and I get all the updates and faxes and emails that the dealerships do. They do send out notices occasionally telling techs to look for stuff like velcro to make sure something has not been done.

So do this if you don't beleive me. Get me the code. Do not install the module. I will tell you how to replicate the code without ever installing any module. Take it back to them and see what they say. If they give you the same crap you know they are full of it. Pretty simple. It is not there.

Also just so everyone knows. Trouble Code which are designated as a "P" codes are all regulated by SAE and there is a specification which is J1979 that explains how and what trouble codes or "P" codes are and how to number them. In otherwords P0236 is the same on Ford, Gm and Dodge even on the gasser vehicles.

These codes are there to help people other than the dealership troubleshoot a vehicle. It could be a shop, or just a guy that bought a truck. They are not some codes that Dodge puts in there to catch you doing something. They cannot make a vehicle that cannot be serviced somewhere other than the dealership.

Now the Smarty is a whole different ballgame and I am not really at liberty to discuss it. I asked questions before and they were not answered for a reason. I think Marco and Bob are good guys and do not care to infringe on that subject although I think it does need to be talked about at some point.
