What goes in this hole

Just got home with my new purchase. Basically it's a bone stock 1995 2500 with 110,000 miles. Truck had no leaks when I bought it or when I stopped overnight half way home. Drove it aprox. 350 miles and it ran great. Went in the house for a moment. Came out to go pick my son up at school and saw a drip of oil under the front axle. Traced it up the drivers side of the engine to the rear of the fuel pump. Didn't notice this orifice before. Is it just a plug that goes in here or something more?

Yes that's a threaded plug that goes there, that's the afc and inside That hole is Where the starwheel is. You should get a plug for it soon.

Its an allen socket plug that goes in there and I'm surprised you don't have more of an oily mess in there than that. It needs to be plugged pronto.

Here is a good site with all the part numbers.. but I don't see this particular plug on there, just the AFC diaphram..

Call any Bosch shop. They will want your 10 digit P/N for the pump (0 402 736 841), and then tell them its the plug in the top of the AFC housing that uses an 8mm allen wrench.

Thumbs up

Thanks guys. Been spoiled with my '05 that was bought new. Rehabbing this '95 is going to be a grand adventure! My teenage kids love the 12 valve. I think they have more plans for it than I do.
